Blue Sky Memories

I propped my little camera on a craggy rock and this is what I got: lots of blue sky!  At least Erika, I and the dogs made it in, but we had to laugh at the "waist of sky space" in the picture.  Today, that is all I have left of this beautiful blue sky, a picture and a memory while the rain is pouring outside and I get ready to cheer my son on the soccer fields.
We both had a busy week and were not sure we could carve out the time to take this hike.
We are glad we did!

A few months earlier it was hard to believe we would get to see the grass under all the snow.
Nature never ceases to amaze us.

Looking Back

We dove right in the routine of fall with one last splash!
Here are our youngest students, ready and eager to start studying.
Lake Ann trail on a beautiful September afternoon, a winning combination.
Maple Noise 2011, in Abbotsford B.C.  Here are some members of Manafest, whom the boys are great fans of and whose music we hear quite often at our house.
Can you see the noise?
We were introduced to the band "Bread of Stone."
I bought their CD and now it plays over & over in our car.  Really great music.

Talented Friends

My dear friend Amy came to the rescue with her technology gadgets expertise.  I got my blog back  the way I wanted with some new & improved additions.  Thank you Amy.
I really need to attend to other matters now, but I can't wait to catch up with some long overdue post & pics.

Transitions

This past month has been one of many transitions, starting with the boys first day of school. After homeschooling Ethan since Kindergarten, Nolan since 2nd grade and Christian since grade 61/2 (he will tell you he wasn't really home schooled since he took most of his classes elsewhere, but that's another topic) they all went back to school. The kind of school that most of us associate with the word; in a building, with desks and so fort, and with teachers other than me. We are now all learning to adjust to our new schedule, and I'm glad to report that it's going really well, better even than I expected. There were a few bumps in the road here and there, but nothing that brought us to a halt. Christian is a freshman in high school and Nolan & Ethan are 6th & 3rd graders at a local Christian school. The question now is why am I a month behind on my blog, if I just got laid off from one of my full time jobs? I could say that there were so many projects I had postponed or duties I had ignored in expectation of the "free time" and they are now keeping me occupied. That would be correct, however, the truth is that I been procrastinating this post because I opted to change the format of the blog and didn't like it. Now I don't know how to get it back to the original form and been dreading to tackle it. I can only take so much change at once!
