We rose early this morning and after na egg filled breakfast (to give us energy for what was to come), headed out to what we thought would be a full morning. As we drove down our street I related my amusement to Shawn, as how we were all going about our business like it was the most beautiful spring day. Christian was at a camp out with the scouts, we were heading to a baseball game followed by a soccer game, our neighbours had just left to go shrimping and fishing for ling cod and halibut. All under pouring rain and temperatures that were barely in the fifties. Of course we were our rain proof armor, but still . . . Not only did Ethan have a game, but it was also picture day. The photographers managed to get a smile out of the kids that stood under a shelter and the coached called it good! No practice or game, smart call! We were able to run a few errands and headed to the soccer fields bracing for a repeat of this day:
However, after a fair attempt of keeping the games going, soccer was also canceled. It did not take long for Christian to call and tell us that they were wrapping up things a little earlier. I spent the rest of my day reorganizing closets, sizing shorts, T-shirts, bathing suits and dreaming of the spring that will one day arrive. I got my summer dresses out and start packing for our Florida trip. The rain coats are definitely staying behind.

Oh shucks!! You have a great attitude, though, Simone.
And you got a great shot! I love that first picture. Wouldn't have been near as interesting had it been warm and sunny!
Thanks Jill, it easier to have a good attitude when you are days away form going to sunny Florida! I can't take credit for the great shot, we have a nice dad in the team who is a professional with a monster size lens and is kind enough to send us all the pictures he takes.
