A Week

Our week was spent with Christian going to a mission trip with his middle school church youth group. This was his third, and last (graduating) trip. The good news is that the high school group also goes on mission trips, only they go farther and for longer periods. Christian really does have a servant's heart, and it's amazing to hear the stories - from the leaders of course, I would not get that much out of my 14 yo - of how these kids step up to the plate and serve God in numerous ways.
Nolan participated in a sailing camp at WWU. He has been watching and practicing with his brother for a while, but now he is old enough to take part in the class. He had a great time, being very independent in getting to the lake and back. Not even our chilly morning and cloudy skies dampened his excitement. I did not get a close up with him on a sail boat, but here he is playing on the boards after rigging his boat up.

Ethan hung out with me and enjoyed his free time to play. He helped Shawn and I pick more than 35# of juicy and sweet strawberries. Of course he is helping consume those as well, and he is really happy about all the jam that miraculously the strawberries turned into.
